Mike Lile

Mike was born in King Hill, Idaho and spent his youth all over the Great Pacific Northwest and California. He was the last surviving child (of 10) of Frank and Anna Lisle. He was an athlete and avid sports fan his entire life. His love of woodworking was a life-long hobby that he used to brighten the lives of others. Enlisting in the Navy in 1942, he served on minesweepers and weather ships in the Second World War; and was recalled to active duty in 1950 for the Korean Conflict. After his military service Mike worked in the automotive and insurance industries until his retirement at the age of 70.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Virginia "Ginny” Lisle, the four children of their blended family, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Mike’s dedicated service to Post 1741 will be missed for his active participation in the Flags-for-Foodbanks program. As well as his sense of humor and welcoming smile.
